Since there have been no significant Tricia news to post of late, I have a special treat for you today. I’ve just updated the gallery with 849 rare site-exclusive screen captures of Tricia Helfer as Eva in Mark L. Lester’s crime thriller White Rush (2003), co-starring Judd Nelson, Louis Mandylor, Deborah Zoe and Charlie Schlatter. From Fandango.com:

A drug deal gone awry leads to harrowing consequences for a group of campers in this thriller from Firestarter director Mark L. Lester. When they stumble across the aftermath of a botched, deep-woods drug deal, Chick (Louis Mandylor) convinces his nature-bound friends to pocket the cash and sell the cocaine that was left behind by the would-be dealers. Unaware that dealer Brian Nathanson (Judd Nelson) has survived the ordeal and witnessed the campers’ indiscretion, he vows to track them down and retrieve the missing contraband. Meanwhile, the powerful drug lord behind the deal has hired a beautiful but lethal assassin to track down the drugs and the money at any cost — and she’s more than happy to fulfill her mission and take down anyone who gets in her way

Tricia delivers a good, albeit limited performance as Eva, the only one of the vacationers to turn away from the tempting drug heist; the script didn’t offer a lot of memorable lines nor a particularly memorable character, as emphasis is clearly laid on the more interesting character of Chick, the police with ambiguous principles.

Anyway, check out our ca. 850 DVD screen captures of Tricia’s performance at the gallery. Enjoy!

The people at SyFy Portal recently revealed a major spoiler regarding the concluding scene for the fourth and final season of Sci Fi’s critically acclaimed drama series, Battlestar Galactica, on which Tricia stars as humanoid Cylon Number Six. Spoiler-phobes should certainly avoid this one, because although significant questions such as the identity of Final Cylon are not answered in said spoiler, those who wish to remain spoiler-free would surely not appreciate having such a crucial scene revealed to them and should thus stop reading here. Consider yourself warned!

For those interested in the spoiler posted however, here’s are the most relevant portions excerpted from the article. As always with text containing spoilers, please highlight to read. From SyFy Portal:

Tricia Helfer, who has played numerous incarnations of the Cylon Number Six, is the star of the scene, but will have no lines. In fact, the final scene is nothing more than music, and of Helfer walking through a crowd in her red dress. The crowd, by the way, is in Times Square in New York City … present day.

This spoiler was shared with SyFy Portal well over a year ago, but had been held back after writers for Battlestar Galactica indicated they attended a retreat after those spoilers were shared where they “mapped out” how the show would end. Because that suggested the spoilers SyFy Portal received about the ending were now in flux, we chose to hold on to the information until we felt more confident that the information was still true.

Of course, SyFy Portal still believes that rumor to be very accurate, and with evidence of some exterior shooting involving Helfer in New York City now floating around the net, believe that the reports of the final scene also are accurate.

Personally, without giving anything away, I very much approve of this end scene! Sounds like a fabulous conclusion for a great series. Spoiler-phobes, interpret that as you will. Battlestar Galactica returns to Sci Fi Channel on January 16 2009 for a final, ten-episode arc. As always, stay tuned to us for coverage!

I just love regular updates, don’t you? Monsters & Critics have a moderately spoiler-y overview of the first upcoming post-hiatus episode of USA Network’s spy series, Burn Notice, on which Tricia regularly guest stars as Carla. I won’t give anything away here, should you wish to remain spoiler-free, however I think we can safely look forward to Tricia reprising her role in the upcoming episode. From Monsters & Critics, please highlight to read:

Whoever tried to kill him also killed Carla’s sniper and jeopardized her operation. Furious, Carla (Tricia Helfer) Michael’s new handler and a known ruthless operative, wants the bomber caught, but Michael sees the bomber as his chance to get a leg up on her – and ultimately find out who is pulling the strings.

In other Burn Notice news, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the series has been renewed for a third season by the USA Network as of October 2008. Congratulations, y’all! Hopefully, Tricia will also be appearing in Season 3 episodes. Fingers crossed!

Burn Notice episode 2.10 “Do No Harm” airs on January 22 2009 on USA Network. As always, stay tuned to us for coverage! Finally, Happy New Year 2009, y’all!

Kindly do not redistribute these scans to or at another Tricia Helfer fan site, as they were obtained exclusively for Tricia Helfer Fan (tricia-helfer.org). Please do not attempt to remove the tag on the scans — these scans took a lot of money and effort to obtain. Thank you. If you promise to be good, Santa may have more late Christmas gifts coming up. Hopefully, you’ve all been enjoying the recent Battlestar Galactica webisodes, titled “The Face of the Enemy”, which are an appropriate post-hiatus episodes teaser. Not a lot has been going on with Tricia of late, hence the lack of updates, but I do have a small webisode-related update for you today.

NYTimes have made an appreciative mention of the recent excellent Battlestar Galactica webisodes (available at SciFi.com), which have thus far centered on Lt. Felix Gaeta (Alessandro Juliani) and Cylon Number Eight (Grace Park). From NYTimes.com:

“The Face of the Enemy,” on the other hand, could serve as a model of the Webisode genre. It’s not something you need to watch if you’re not already a Battlestar Galactica fan, but those who are will appreciate the serious treatment this minidrama has received, the same kind of care taken with the cult-favorite series itself. [...]

Other tidbits — Ms. Park plays two parts in “Enemy” because the Galactica star Tricia Helfer turned out not to be available after the story had already been developed — might seem like too much information to have while the serial is still unfolding. But it’s really just a sign that NBC Universal is getting at least one thing right. In a world where the possibilities for elaborating your shows online are endless, the true fan wants to see and hear everything.

Presumably, the article’s source on the matter is writer Jane Espenson’s webisode commentaries. That’s a shame, though, about Six not making an appearance!

Hooray for the return of regular updates! Not much has happened in the way of Tricia news of late, however, save for this: dryope @ livejournal has posted the first hi-res promotional stills of the upcoming first post-hiatus episode of Sci Fi’s critically acclaimed space drama Battlestar Galactica, on which Tricia portrays humanoid Cylon Number Six.

A whopping 15 promotional stills of the episode, 4.11 “Sometimes a Great Notion” have been released, which is a quite a surprise considering the regrettable scarcity of promo footage of earlier Season 4 episodes. Two hi-res promotional stills featuring Tricia have been added to the gallery; however, if you’re interested in the full batch of stills, you’ll want to head over to dryope’s livejournal.

If you’ve seen all of Season 4 thus far, you needn’t be afraid of being spoiled by Tricia’s Number Six promo stills. Looks like the episode will feature Tricia both as Caprica Six and Baltar’s “virtual” Six, and the miniseries red dress makes another reappearance! Yay! Don’t forget (as if you would), Battlestar Galactica returns to small screens on January 16 2009, naturally on the Sci Fi Channel. As always, we’ll be sure to cover it!

Things are admittedly quiet with Tricia right now. Keep in mind, however, that things will definitely turn around this upcoming January, with Tricia’s regular appearances on Sci Fi’s Battlestar Galactica and USA Network’s Burn Notice. Here’s a little something to keep you warm whilst awaiting the upcoming seasons of both series respectively: Maxim magazine has named Tricia Helfer’s sexy and manipulative humanoid Cylon Number Six on the aforementioned acclaimed Sci Fi series as one of their “Hottest Women of Fall TV ‘08″. From Maxim.com:

The Hottest Women of Fall TV ‘08
As fall turns to winter, the temperature outside seems to drop in direct correlation to the rising hotness of the woman appearing on our TV screens. It’s science.

Number Six (Tricia Helfer), Battlestar Galactica
Tricia Helfer’s got those eye-popping curves and golden locks that harken back to simpler days, when any leading lady gracing the screen had to be a flat-out sexpot. And as an ageless “Cylon” on the Battlestar Galactica reboot, Helfer proves once again that, yes, our therapist was right, we have a robot sex fetish.

Apologies for the delay in updates, there simply hasn’t been much Tricia news of importance of late. However, last Wednesday Tricia was spotted at the Beverly Hills Mutt Club & Poochi Couture Howliday Jingle Bones Launch in Beverly Hills, CA, and was looking absolutely beautiful, as always. Also present was Tricia’s Battlestar Galactica co-star and fellow Cylon, Michael “Samuel T. Anders” Trucco. I’ve only been able to find two medium-res photos of Tricia at the event so far, but as always, I’ll keep looking. Enjoy!
